The Blue Dragon Of Bus Stop Nine
A blue dragon stretched across the wall at Bus Stop Nine. Its nose was enormous, its wings covered three seats and its tail curled around the timetable.
Pip stopped beside Mira. “Is that part of the show?”
“Let’s check,” she said.
Mira contacted the display team and paused the picture. The dragon vanished. The bus information remained clear on its separate board.
A nearby artist came over with a small projector. The dragon was meant for a story corner, but a maintenance screen had reflected the picture onto the bus-stop wall.
“I did not see where it was going,” the artist admitted.
The adults checked the equipment and moved the screen. Then the artist asked whether the visitors would enjoy a short dragon story in the proper corner.
Some said yes. Others preferred to wait quietly for their bus.
Kala arranged both choices. A clear sign named the optional story show. The bus seats and timetable stayed outside it.
Zuri drew a little blue dragon for the sign. Pip suggested a name.
“Blueberry,” he said. “Because the first one was rather a large blue shape.”
Ivo considered this. “It did not resemble a sensible portion of fruit.”
In the story corner, Blueberry was a dragon who could never remember where to put a scarf. The artist showed how an ordinary picture became a larger shadow on the wall.
Pip waved his hand in the checked demonstration area. Its shadow waved back.
When the story ended, the projector switched off. Blueberry had no secret tunnel and nobody needed to chase it.
Mira checked their bus time. The waiting visitors could still read it easily.
Pip glanced at the empty wall and smiled. A surprising shadow had become an understood picture, a funny story and a name that made everyone laugh.
